Dade

We headed out to Dade, Florida after New Years. Todd and his family have been involved in re-enactments for years and Dade is a yearly trip when we can make it.

We spend the weekend dressed as Seminole Indians and the boys re-enact the Dade massacre. Basically, the Seminoles massacred a ton of US soldiers in 1836. Only 2 soldiers survived to tell the tale.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a Seminole outfit for Zoie but we are hoping to have one for her next year. However, she still enjoyed being the cutest baby of the camp! Todd took her around and they are now in a bunch of people's camera's and albums.

Here Todd & Zoie are having some down time and Todd is serenading Zoie with his musical abilities on his harmonica.

Zoie had a ton of fun wandering around on the ground and playing with her Aunt Angie (or Double A as we call her) ;) .

We have spent some time participating in living history events. We enjoyed the settler's period (don't ask me the years!)

It all stopped when #3 was born and I couldn't find my way to prepare clothes for all five of us! Enjoy it now.
